I've had my commons for 2 months and have seen considerable growth. They eat progold pellets, peas, and the occasional orange chunk. They are in a 29g tank. "Considerable"? Not like Betty's fish...

They probably need more protein and fat in their diet.Adding bloodworms would be fine. Cocktail shrimp, fake crab, oysters, etc are all good sources of protein. Multiple small meals are best....

My guess on the sausages would be no. I think that it would be the wrong kind of fat. Fatty fish though is in alot of Betty's gel food recipes.I'm sure Betty will clarify.Annette
